Which OS are you on??

If it is WIndows then unless you have changed it the default folder view suppresses the file suffix which identifies it, so you would not see the .mscz, part of the filename.

To rectify this in Windows 7/8 go to the View menu and check the File Extensions box.

You will then be able to remove the comma from the file suffix (ignore the dire warnings given by the OS!)

The more important thing to me is, why are you trying to open this file - which is a *backup* of your score - instead of your actual score? The actual score won't have the dot or comma. As mentioned above, if you are on Windows and haven't fixed the setting that causes Windows to not display the extension for known file types, you won't even see the "mscz".

If you are deliberately opening this backup file because something happened to your original, then never mind :-)

This may be a Windows (or Mac) problem, as I have found over time, that I cannot open any file from the recycle bin, (Win XP).
If that is the case, restore the file to it's original location and retry, also doing all that everyone else has suggested, if necessary.
