Marching Cymbal Notations Not Showing Up
I was composing a piece and got to the cymbals. When I tried to add a hi-hat or anything else, it wasn't in the drumset selection thing. The only thing there was a normal crash. I just saw a friend with a lot of other options, so am I just being dumb or what?

They probably have the MuseScore Drumline (MDL) installed. See https://musescore.org/en/node/273636 and other MDL turorials at https://musescore.org/en/tutorials for more information.
Many people experience a very slow startup times for MuseScore when they install this, so be forewarned.
Sounds like you may have added a plain cymbal instrument, the hi-hat would be part of the drumset instrument (along with kick drum, snare, toms, a crash, ride, etc). So just add the correct instrument. This is true whether using MDL or not.

I selected the marching crash cymbals. Im downloading the drumline thing now to see if that helps

As I explained above, you do not need to install anything. You simply need to select the drumset instrument if you want to use things like hi-hat. The various cymbal instruments will not include hi-hat no matter what you download, you will still need to use the drumset instrument.

I do know this, but im composing specifically for marching band. The drumline thing worked! Thanks!
