How to stack chord alterations to make a smaller chord symbol

• Nov 9, 2019 - 05:22

I have several places in the attached score where there are chord such as: D7+9,+5 and other similar types of chords... how do I stack the +9 on top of the +5 ?
Measure 15, in the attached score where every eighth note is a different chord....
When I have to put them in a row, beside one another, it makes the chord symbol very long. If I could stack them,(the chord alterations, =5 +9 +11 etc) it would make it easier to read and more concise.
I thank you in advance.

There is currently no buil-in way to do this. But if you want to roll up your sleeves and muck about with the XML file that controls display of chords, do a search of these forums for "chord description file" for more info on some possibilities. Basically, you need to make your own copy of the chord_jazz or chord_std file that comes with MuseScore, figure out the changes you want, and tell MuseScore to use that instead.
