Problem exporting to MP3
This problem is similar to uploading a score on the .com site, with the exporting moving at a snail's pace, ultimately quitting at 49% with a result of no audio. In this case I get a blank MP3 file. (When uploading a score at the site, the result is a published score with no audio.) In this case I want just an MP3 of the score.
This is a 20 stave piece I had on Ver 2.3.2 It is 52 kb. There is no artwork and the sounds are from one font set. (Windows 10/64)
I have read this similar threads about this topic:
I do "save to score" (synthesizer setting)
I do have the MS gen font in my synth, but this score only uses the SymphonicSounds font. I have had success with MP3 before up to 15 stave scores. The two font sets in my synth are thus ordered:
Symphonic Sounds
MS Gen
There have been times (with the uploading to the site) where a future attempt would proceed successfully. No one (at the site) seems to know why.

If you can't export to MP3 locally, this probably would also happen on musescore.org
MP3 music files are compressed, and so MuseScore automatically invokes the LAME encoder for export.
Are you able to export your score as .wav (uncompressed), or does that also hang during processing?

Thank you (btw - LAME is how I describe my lack of proficiency with software) :-/
I tried an export to .wav. It went faster and it did play well on Windows Media Player (different from what plays my MP3s I think)
I cannot figure out why this happens at times, and other times it works.

OK...
So you can export a MuseScore file to .wav with good results, yet the exact same MuseScore file does not export to .mp3?
Does a different MuseScore file successfully export to .mp3?
If not, see:

For some reason a simple song failed, that which has succeeded before. I just began work on ver 3 and I thought my head was going to explode...
however...
I opened the song with ver 3 and it exported to MP 3 fine. Perhaps I will proceed from there; it's time I moved on to ver 3 anyway.
Thanks for your help!!!
