Beaming across multiple instruments
I am copying a score with multiple percussion instruments played by one person, and ocasionally there will be cross staff beaming, is there a way to do this?

Cross staff beaming only works between staves of the same instrument
So, in principle, you can pull that off if you define the drumsets for those staves appropriately, the key will indeed be to have them all belong to the same instrument.
