musescore.com site - scores unavailable

• Dec 30, 2019 - 07:04

DISCOVERED: 29 December 2019 (first visit after some weeks; previous OK visits happened
in October-November 2019)

MALFUNCTION:
search for scores works - both when I am logged off or logged in to the musescore.com site
However clicking on any resulting score, I get an empty page with the header.
Only change with previous times when the site worked OK I noticed was an announcement
about 'experimenting with advertisements'.

BROWSER/OTHER INFO:
PaleMoon - offshoot of Firefox, several years old.
I have been a registered user of musescore for a number of years, although not an
active contributor to the site.
Additional information can be added as needed.
The question is put here as I could not find a proper support forum/forms on the
musescore.com site itself.

Comments

MOST LIKELY reason for the site malfunction is that the page
now is completely written (re-written?) in javascript, which
fails to execute in standard browsers - in contrast with some
chrome-based handhelds (smartphones/tablets), and the
site designers simply do not test their pages on standard
desktop-based machines and browsers sufficiently.

AS I WROTE ABOVE (quote):
"The question is put HERE as I COULD NOT FIND a proper support forum/forms on the
musescore.com site itself."

If you wish to be helpful - as opposed to barking orders which convey your disapproval -
you could have pointed me to a proper address/place on their page.
As far as I can see, IT IS NONEXISTENT.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. First I thought on a technical problem at the site. But then I tried other browsers than my standard firefox (internet explorer, Microsoft edge) and here the site worked as intended. At last I deactivated an extension in firefox (called "I don't care about cookies") et voilá - problem solved.
