rests in pdf scanned music
I have used Musescore to translate a pdf scan of music and import it.
A lot of the notes are correct but there are random rests thrown into the stave that I can't do anything with.
I can't cut, delete or change them into notes. I can drag them out of the stave but they are still used on replay.
How do I delete or change them ?
Thanks

There's probably some confusion between the Voices (see:https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/voices#exchange-voices ) rests appearing in voice 1 cannot be deleted
If you can't solve attach here the score you are having problems with and someone will take a look.
Printed music often omits some rests, but MuseScore always fills in the missing rests (for each voice) in order to make the total note/rest duration correct for the measure. If you don't want to see a specific rest, select the rest and press V to hide it.
On the other hand, if the optical music recognition of the PDF score is introducing genuine mistakes, there's not much you can do - except to delete the contents of the incorrect measure and re-enter the notes.
If you attach the PDF and the MuseScore version, it will be easier to give you some specific advice.
Thanks for those ( amazingly fast) suggestions. I have used a combination of swapping voices and forcing the properties of a bar to being the correct length and it has allowed me to get rid of the unwanted rests. But if this is the only way that I can do it then entering the music from scratch is still quicker than scanning and amending the result.
