Prevent Musescore from connecting 8th notes

I suspect this is a rookie error. As shown in attached screen shot, in a simple 4/4 jazz leadsheet, I want the first measure to be : 8th rest | 8th note (A)| 2 8th notes (B, A) connected with beam | 2 1/4 notes (B, A)|
But Musescore is connecting all three 8th notes with a beam. I want the initial 8th note (A) to stand alone. And only the following 2 8th notes (B, A) connected with a beam.

How do I achieve this? Using version 3.3.4.24412
