Free Web-Based chord progression helper

• Apr 10, 2025 - 15:46

Hi, I am developing a browser-based piano tool for composing and practicing chord progressions across multiple genres (Jazz, LoFi, Neo-Soul, etc.). I am hoping this can ultimately be a free helpful resource for songwriters and people interested in music theory.

Key Features:

Play and sequence chords via QWERTY/MIDI
20+ genre-based chord progression presets
Piano, organ, and synth soundfonts
Visual scale/chord theory feedback

Looking For Feedback On:

Missing critical features (e.g., MIDI export, DAW integration)
Additional chord/scale types needed
Most useful genre presets

Here is the link to the app

Any feedback appreciated.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for the fantastic feedback on my free browser-based piano tool for composing and practicing chord progressions. I’ve just rolled out a significant update based on your suggestions, and I’d love to hear what you think!

New Features Added:
Chord Inversions: Smooth voice-leading and richer harmonic movement.
7th Chords (Maj7, Dom7, Min7, etc.): Expanded harmonic possibilities for jazz, neo-soul, and more.
Additional Instruments: More piano/organ/synth options for varied textures.

Still Looking For Feedback On:
Missing features (e.g., MIDI export, custom tempo, metronome?).
Chord/scale requests (e.g., extended chords, modal scales).
Genre presets you’d find most useful (e.g., lo-fi, classical, K-pop?).
