Installation failure: Could not write value .xxx to key etc.
Hi, folks -
I keep getting the same error when I try to install.
"Could not write value .mscz to key \SOFTWARE" etc. If I click "Ignore" it just pops back up with another file extension.
I'd appreciate any help. I have Windows 10 Pro. I can install other software, but as far as I know, I have admin rights: I'm sole owner of the desktop. I do have Office 365 as a kind of shell (need for work), so that could be a factor. Also, have some security programs for remoting in to work.
Also: I'm away at times (due to work), so if a helpful soul asks for more info and I'm AWOL, please don't think I'm unappreciative!
Thanks!

Thanks the quick reply. Unfortunately "Run as Administrator" is not on the context menu. Not sure why.
I'll review you other links and try those!

This is my first time trying to install MuseScore. I just tried 2.3.2, but I'm getting the same error. I'll try your other link, the Microsoft Store version. Thanks again!
