tablature on ukulele making an A major

• Mar 11, 2020 - 21:57

Hi
I have converted the score into the ukulele tablature but the issue is the red areas. I normally change the notation so it will appear on the tab. Yet, the G string won't show the second fret for the A shape. I'm not sure how to accomplish this one?

Your ukulele has a re-entrant tuning: G4 - C4 - E4 - A4
See:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reentrant_tuning

The lowest sounding pitch on your ukulele is C4. If you are pasting the piano notes into the ukulele TAB the red A is an A3, which is unplayable on your ukulele. You must manually enter a 2 onto the 4th string which will sound an A4 pitch (same as the open first string).
This will give you the A chord: A4 - C4# - E4 - A4.
The chord is fingered on frets... 2 - 1 - 0 - 0

The same applies to the other red notes in your score. They are out of the ukulele's range.
