How do I keep autoscroll during playback but not as I write the score
It's really annoying when I write in a tie or input the first note of a chord and then suddenly teleport to the next page or halfway down the current one. Usually this feature is more help than hindrance I think, but it'd be great to know how to disable it when it isn't.
In other words, where under Preferences do I turn off 'Auto-Scroll During Transcription', if anywhere?

Continuous mode might help here
Continuous view is indeed one good way to circumvent this. The other would just be to turn off the automatic pan when you don't need it, turn it back on when you do - it's the button on the toolbar between the repeats and metronome buttons.
