Formatting difficulty

Recently I downloaded Musescore 3 and wow! I thought Musescore 2 was pretty darn good but 3 is whole lot more effective. Having said that I also seem to have hit a difficulty.

The attached files are a measure from my source and from my transcript. As you see there is a two voice setting in the piano right hand. I can't seem to get the notes aligned properly (second beat).

Can anybody help?

And BTW would it be possible to have tremolo represented as in my source with the beams connected to the stems? It looks prettier and it is also easier to read IMHO.

Thanks for the tip. It did not worker me though: when I altered the segment value both the violin and piano right hand notes moved in sync maintaining their misalignment. Regardless if I selected the note in the violin part or in the right hand part.

It turns out that I could move the note in the violin part--without changing anything in the piano part--by double clicking it and moving it with the arrow keys and get the notes aligned. The distance between beat 2 and 3 is still too large but I think I can accept this. Trying to move the piano notes that way does not work easily, it seems with two voices things get a little tricky.

As to the "old style" tremolos: This is way too labor intensive for me. I'll stay with the unsatisfactory "new style" tremolo. Maybe if I end up posting on IMSLP I'll fix it, assuming I understand the instructions sufficiently. In this case the "new style" is definitely no progress over the "old style" but the opposite.

The whole point of the segment adjustment is to keep the staves aligned. So for instance that's how you could reduce the gap between the first two sixteenth.

If you wish to move one note without others at the same time position, use the X offset instead (or, as you discovered, the arrow keys in edit mode).

But for the record, the real problem here to me is the way you used the voices and then needed to flip stems around and manually override positions. You have voices 1 & 2 backwards in the second half of the measure on the top piano staff. it would be more musically correct. The editor in your example chose to bend the rules about the order of the two voices, and in this case I think that was good a decision. A negative X offset on the voice 2 chord would accomplish that simply.
