Soundfonts keep getting out of order

• Jul 28, 2020 - 22:33

I have two soundfonts in the "Fluid" tab of the synthesizer. I wanna put the General soundfont at the top. [Does that mean the one on top is the one I hear?] I hit either the two Chevets button or the up arrow button to do that. It works fine. Just as an extra measure, I do a "Save to Score". I then save my score and close the program. When I go back in, the other soundfont is back Ondatop. I am using Version 3.5RC
Thanks

When you "Save to Score" it means those settings are only for that score and you'll later have to "Load from Score".

If you want those to become the program defaults, use "Set as Default" instead.

OK, that works. But it seems like a strange circuitous way to change the order of the soundfonts. First you have to change the order, then hit Save to Score, THEN hit Set as Default. If you just want to change the order, oddly, the "Set to Default" button is grayed out. You HAVE to save to score first, THEN set to default. Sounds like the developers want the soundfont order to be on a per score basis rather than a global basis.

Thank you. I will. Just tested it and "Set to Default" remains grayed out unless you hit "Save to Score" first.
BTW: Someone in a post mentioned not knowing the diff between the bug forum and the issue tracker. Can you post a bug to the issue tracker without posting to the bug forum and vice-versa?
