on the latest nightly I downloded (from 18h11) I didn't need to update the translation... Everything was just there..... I may have do something (I don't know what) but sure I didn't update the translation as I should have done before!

As we were preparing the first beta release of 2.0, the translation were pulled from transifex and committed to the code repository. As a result the nightly build contained the latest translations.

German has been updated on Transifex between the time the translations has been updated in the source and the time you checked for new translations in MuseScore. That's why you see an update available.

And it is just a single string that is different and in thta only a single character, an ó vs. o...
So you really don't miss much :-)
