Metronome sound
I have forgotten how to add a metronome click to my playback. I searched the help for 'metronome playback' to no avail, can anyone point me in the right direction?

add an instrument like wooden blocks then make the instrument invisible. When you don't want to hear it then mute it in the mixer.
Ok, thanks. I knew of this method but somehow hoped there was a quicker 'switch'. Will do.
The reason I need to use this is to help clarify the use of 'Follow text' in the inspector for the tempo marking "Lento". If I check it, I am able to set the tempo to say, 50 BPM. If I uncheck it, it defaults to a fixed tempo of 35.5 BPM, so I assume that somewhere there is a way of linking 'Lento' to 35.5BPM?

Maybe I didn't understand :(

Yes.
Forget the metronome question, that was a means to an end!
I have a tempo marking of Lento. If I go to the inspector view for this, I see a panel for 'Tempo text'. My question relates to that.... Hope that clarifies.

In other words, where do I see a place elsewhere in MS that says that 'Lento' default tempo is 35.5BPM?

On the old 3.2.3
Select the mark on the score and use Inspector, or double-click on it to add/edit text.

Ah! So by editing the BPM to say, 40BPM in the inspector then if I use Lento anywhere else in the score it will default to 40?
It would be more logical perhaps to be able to edit the Lento default speed in a more central place other than in the score itself (like within the menu system)
Thank you for sorting my confusion.

No, I'm wrong. I changed the BPM and it did not change the default. SO next time I inserted a Lento it didn't pick up my change

Of course not. The BPM setting is embedded into the Lento on the palette, so copies to the score every single time you use it

So my question is, how do I change the palette Lento speed? Can't seem to do it via Master Palette

Gosh! I would never have known where to find that solution, except by asking! Thanks so much for bearing with me.
