Unable to open 3.5 version
Hello,
I have been working on the previous version extensively and now that I updated to 3.5 I can not even open Musescore. There is a message: "The previous session quit unexpectedly. Restore session? Yes or No" When I click Yes another message opens: "MuseScore quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple." Reopen gets me back to the first message... round and round it goes.
Please help! I have a performance coming soon and need to get to my scores, otherwise, I'll have to spend days retyping everything.

Try to double click a score to open MuseScore. If that works turn off the start center in preferences.
Try starting MuseScore by double clicking a score (if need be download one from musescore.com).
If that works, go to Edit > Preferences > General and disable the startcenter. (See [See #278817: Start center crashes MuseScore if there is no Internet connection)
If it does not, revert to factory settings, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings#Via_command_l…

Opening a score does not work. I am working on MacOS so to revert to factory settings the online handbook says to open Terminal and a session window should appear. Not being a computer person, I'm having difficulties finding where to paste the phrase "/Applications/MuseScore\ 3.app/Contents/MacOS/mscore -F".
