Slurs and Euphonium

It seems that even when I input slurs into my scores, they sound the same as if they were articulated. I am not certain why this is.

The euphonium instrument sounds more like a tuba than an actual euphonium. I think this should be changed because the euphonium is very important in wind, brass, and drum corps ensembles.

Slurs, if at all, have only a very subtle effect on playback
Not sure, but I think in a GM soundfont there is no euphonium, so tuba is taken as the closest match

Correct on both counts, although these are things that could potentially be enhanced someday when MuseScore 4 becomes a reality.

Meanwhile, even though the General MIDI (GM) standard does not include a euphonium, probably there are soundfonts out there that do, so a bit of web searching should probably find you one. See the Handbook section on Soundfonts for more on how to use these.
