musescore 3.5.0 crashing at random
so i updated to 3.5.0 a while ago and its worked relatively fine for me, but now for whatever reason, upon opening it, the second i do something, like scroll in the pallette or click a note, musescore just crashes completely. any way to fix? the last thing i wanna do is reset to factory settings because im afraid itll delete my scores.

Restoring factory settings will never delete your scores. What it will do is clean out your recent file list so find out where your scores are so you can use open to find then after the factory reset.

oh, i thought what it meant by "factory reset" was like what most companies mean by it - deleting everything related to the program and restoring it to where it looks like you had just gotten it

It restores all of the default settings and any files created for internal use are deleted, but you scores will remain untouched. Like I said, they will no longer be in recent files until you open and close them again just make sure you know where they are on your computer.

And to be clear, it's the same on any other computer program - resetting them never deletes you own files, which are stored in your own folders on your own hard drive. Only mobile apps that store files in their own private data area because they are blocked by the mobile OS from storing them elsewhere would ever delete your own files.
