exporting audio files
I've created a score and checked to see it follows the metronome. When I export a .wav or .mp3 file into a DAW, the audio track starts to deviate from the count. I've checked the tempo and it's the same thoughout the score.

Are you perhaps trying to use the temporary playback-only override of tempo from the Play Panel? That indeed has no effect on export, you need a real tempo marking in your score.
if that's not the issue, please attach your score and describe the problem in more detail.
