dynamic workflow
When you're adding articulations to a note, it keeps the note itself highlighted (if you use shortcuts) or at least will go right back to the note if you hit the right arrow. I suggest dynamics should work the same. As it is now, if you enter a forte and hit the right arrow, it adjusts the position of the mark itself and you have to click away to get back to the notes. I find this slows down the workflow quite a bit if there are more than a couple dynamic changes. I understand why you might want to be able to move the dynamic marking, but I haven't really needed to since musescore 2. Wouldn't it make more since to be able to use arrow keys to scroll through the notes (r r r r piano r r mezzo forte r r r forte)?

Alt+arrows already moves to the next element no matter what it is.

Good to know. I also discovered last night that note input mode works the way I was asking for. I prefer to add articulations and dynamics in edit mode because I'll often shift+arrow to select multiple notes. In input mode I end up rearranging the order of notes accidentally.

Right, there are no selection groups in note input mode.

Just a clarification - when you say "edit mode", I think you really mean "normal mode" - the mode you are in most of the time, when not actively entering notes. "edit mode" is something you engage only when double-clicking an element to make fine manual adjustments to its position and/or shape (or for text, to edit the text).
