Add Instruments to a Piano Score
I want to add instruments to an existing piano score. In the manual, p35, it describes creating a new score, and choosing a template file. I don't see anything about adding an instrument to an existing score.

Press i to open the instruments dialog. This is the same dialog you get if you use Choose instruments from the new score wizard. It allows you to add or remove instruments and staves.
The only reference I see to this in the manual is in the Shortcuts appendix where is says to press i to open the instruments dialog.

That works. I placed a trumpet staff above the piano staff. Is there a way to drag the trumpet staff to be closer to the piano staff?

You can't drag it. You need to open Format->Style->Page and reduce Staff distance.

I appears, slightly confusingly, in the Create New Score chapter of the handbook, in the Change instrument set-up sub-chapter.
