how do I type in a sharp sign in a chord symbol - Macos - UK version

• Oct 13, 2020 - 10:30

I found out how to do flat chords after doing Cmd-K by typing 'b', but sharp chords seem to present a problem on my Mac keyboard. The "3" key also shows a '£' and a sharp sign - which I thought needed an Alt key combination, but in my system that produces something else.

Maybe this would work by using keyboard viewer on Macs?

This may be country and language specific.

Thanks. After a bit of trial and error I found that the Shift key wasn't neeed - so Alt+3 works. An alternative is to switch to the US keyboard which makes things a bit more obvious, but now I can see how to do it I won't need to do that anymore. Alt+3+5 isn't a good idea - doesn't seem to do the required thing.
