I've attached two screen shots that display the problems I'm seeing with triplets. They seem random, and I couldn't reproduce them if I tried.

You need to attach actual scores for these problems. I would be better if you asked about them in the forum at https://musescore.org/en/forum/6 to ask for help first. Then if they are determined to be a bug you can add them to the issue tracker (here). However, since these are here, attach scores so we can understand what's happening.
