Several voicings turn a bunch of 8th notes into 16th

Hey
there is a bug in Musescore 3, which did not exist in the version 2 that makes my life sooo hard as a choir arranger.
Long story short, if we have four 8th notes and then add another 4 notes on top of them AND CHOOSE ANOTHER VOICE, the tails, I mean the long lines on top turn into two lines, thus turning them into a bunch of 16th notes.
Check the video out, please, I captured the essence of the problem there.

You mean the stems and beams?
It is the very same issue in MuseScore 2 too! See:

And it really isn't an issue, voice 2 should be stem down, not stem up. But if you really really want them up, you need to go though the trouble of horizontally offsetting them slightly:

Again, same in MuseScore 2(.3.2) and 3(.5.2), and, for good measure, MuseScore 1(.3) too!
