Adding more bass resonance to an instrument with Polyphone

• Nov 15, 2020 - 01:13

Hi, gang!!!

I use MuseScore 3.5.2 Portable AppImage inside a computer with Ubuntu Studio 20.04.1 LTS (64 bit Linux).

I wonder how to add more bass resonance to some instruments using Polyphone.

Let's say, add 9 decibels of bass range resonance to the Baritone Sax and Tuba instruments sound.

How can I get it? ???

Blessings and Greetings from Chile!!!

You can EQ the samples in Polyphone.
First locate the samples of the instrument you want to change.
(you need to drill down to them via Preset, Instrument, samples.) Click one of the samples.
At the bottom right there is the EQ sliders and you need to tick the Preview button to listen to your EQ changes. Changes are not saved untill you select the Tick button.
So listen to a few samples at your adjusted EQ with Preview selected, but dont use the tick button at this stage.
When you are happy with the new EQs highlight all the samples on the left column (select first sample, then the last samples with Shift held down), then use the tick box to apply (it might take 10 or 20 seconds to apply to all your samples), Now save your new Soundfont with a different name via top right parallel bars.
