I downloaded the new Mac OS Big Sur. My MuseScore will no longer playback. I have the latest version of MuseScore. Is this an incompatibility issue or is this another issue?

A few people who have upgraded to Big Sur have reported anomalies like this. I suspect it's related to compatibility between the driver and Big Sur but this is only a theory. Most compatibility problems I've seen so far could be explained by a driver. If you learn anything, please report it here so we can help others.
