Cannot launch new version of Musescore after downloading updates today 11-16-2020

I get kicked out of musescore when trying to launch it after downloading current updates. It opens to the "Start Center" with the "hourglass" hovering around, then abrubtly closes. Try again: now it says previous session quit unexpectedly. Want to restore yes/no. Either option I pick has the same result: program closes. Same laptop, same OS, same everything....except it's been a couple of months since the last time I opened the program. Help! KenN
