Triplet has no number 3 + question

• Aug 28, 2014 - 20:41

I noticed that in beta 1 a triplet does not show a number 3 (see attached image). Am I missing something or is it a bug?

Second, how do I bind this triplet and eight note together so that the eight note is note alone and not "grouped" together with the 16th triplet? Regards

Sure it is a triplet? Can you share an example score, rather than a pricture of it?
When I create a tripled from an eighth, I get 3 beamed 16th with a 3 above or below

For the beaming have a look at the beams palette. I managed this:

I looked at the score rapidly, for me the first 4 notes aren't triplet (you have 4 16th note in one quater)
but other should be ^^
(Deboggeur seems to know the triplet...... I was asking to be able want click on a note, in the button like stem and beam to have triplet also ....)

And why not add a "number" that could be displayed or not in that tuplet inspector .....

All the properties are in place, but together with that TAB staff they are not shown.
Having triplets properties in inspector for notes (see #31306: tuplet properties not accessible anymore after setting numberType and bracketType to "Nothing" won't help here unfortunatly.
Delete that TAB staff and you'll see that these are indeed all triplets.

I've filed it: #31341: triplets numbers/brackets don't show when there is a linked TAB staff

It is an former bug apparently. It worked well May 19 (Nightly, 56177c3).

And then I threw my Nigthlies June and until July 3 (ege0e34), which then does not work at all (with results reported above)

So I'm not going to help much :(

Pending the fix, the workaround is to enter the notes, first, in a standard staff, and then adding a linked tab staff.
