Is my octave the same for notation and tab?
Hi
Can someone look over my notation and tab and let me know if my notation octave is the same as my guitar tab? I dont know how to read and write music, so this is me trying to teach myself.
I have a feeling that I am notating an octave higher than what I am fretting on the guitar?

Sounds correct to me.
The guitar is a transposing instrument because the sounded note is an octave below the notated note, so this may explain what you are seeing and hearing.
