"Automatic Chord Identifier" help!

• Dec 24, 2020 - 21:12

I ran across this feature by accident while searching the 'net for an app that would show me the name of the chord if I entered the notes on a grand staff. I already have Musescore 3, and I found this page:

https://musescore.org/en/node/304672

But I'm not computer savvy on plugins and such.
Is there a step by step tutorial somewhere to show me how to implement this?
Thanks!
LLOYD S

Thanks Mike!
Since I don't see the "Automatic Chord Identifier" in the "Plugins installed by default" list,
I assume I need to go to the "Installation > Windows" link.
I don't see a "step by step" tutorial there for installing a new plugin.
That's fine if there isn't such a tutorial, I just thought I'd missed it somewhere.

There is not a step by step instruction per se but there are general instructions that basically say

Unzip the plugin to the directory identified for your operating system below. It's very important that you put the unzipped contents in the correct folder.

Once that is done, open the plugin manager and it will be included in the list so you can enable it (put a check next to it).

It will then be added automatically to the plugin menu. You can add a shortcut for the plugin if you like or run it from the menu.
