Could there be an easy way to make the main melody stand out on a piano score easily?

I've noticed that when I'm composing something for piano, that there is something that makes the right-hand and left-hand melodies the same dynamic. This is quite a conundrum for me, as I rarely need both hands at the same volume. Usually, when one plays the piano, wherever the melody is that is the part that stands out.
While the sort of "background melody" that accompanies the main melody is quieter. Now I've tried to add different dynamics to the parts of the score, but this just makes them both the quieter dynamic. And I'm sure that there is some overly difficult way or that there is some expensive add-on to deal with this problem, but I am still quite a beginner/ intermediate Musescore 3 user. Could there be some sort of option when you click a measure that makes it quieter or louder without adding a dynamic? Like could it be called something like "Melodic Dynamic" that makes the melody stand out?

You can select a dynamic and open the inspector and set the dynamic range to staff rather than part (aka instrument). This will make the dynamic apply only to that hand.

Or, to get control over specific notes, see the "Velocity" fields in the Inspector. An offset of 10 or 20 should give a subtle but noticeable push similar to how a real pianist would play it.
