Project
When scores from 3.5 are loaded into 3.6, and the style settings are not the same as they were in the previous version. I assume this is because they change to 3.6 defaults instead of staying with 3.5 defaults (such as with the bar numbers being italicized) - but there are some exceptions - e.g lyricist text changes to 10pt (default) instead of 12pt (which I modified) but only in parts and not the score.
Known Issues -
- Bar Numbers are changed to italics
- Header Text is changed to bold
- Footer Text is slightly larger
- Composer, Lyricist, Style and Part Name text sizes default to 3.6 sizes (in parts?)

Those changes to the default settings are by design
(#315847: Certain Formatting Changes/Resets Do Not Save in Parts and #315815: Header and Footer Text is not identical to 3.5 scores when opened in 3.6)

Yes, but it would be convenient for there to be an option for there to be able to resort to the 3.5 defaults as opposed to the 3.6 ones?
Load the corresponding .mss file (to be found in the styles folder inside the program folder)

Please be more specific. Does it correspond to the project or what? I'm on MacOS 10.14.6 Mojave, if that helps.
Sorry if I'm ignoring something blatantly obvious.
I can only tell you where it is on Windows: C:\Program Files\MuseScore 3\styles\
There got to be something equivalent on Mac

In terms of defaults, I want to be able to create the exact same "look" as my previous 3.5 project, with the text font and other modifications I made, not the "default musescore 3.5" look. Any ideas if this is possible? I'd go back to my projects and export the .mss file from them if I could, but I've updated to 3.6, so I wouldn't be able to do that without some things changing to the 3.6 defaults (like bold headers etc.)

I've found it on Mac - for other people, it's /Applications/MuseScore 3.app/Contents/Resources/styles
Yep, that's it
