Wrong placement of articulation in cross-staff beaming

Steps to reproduce:
1. Type 8th notes into the lower staff of a keyboard grand staff.
2. Move some notes to the upper staff with shift+ctrl+up, inducing cross-staff beaming.
3. Add articulation to notes on the lower staff.

Expected result: articulation is placed on the side opposite to the stem.
Actual result: articulation is placed on the side of the stem.

Further problem:
As a workaround attempt, try changing the placement of the articulation by clicking it and pressing 'X'. Now the articulation is totally misplaced.
