Ability to add system text between staves

When working on a large score, it's often customary to have system text—tempo markings, rehearsal marks, etc.—appear both above the top staff and certain staves—i.e., above the strings. It would be great to have the option of choosing where system text should appear in the score—I could see it fitting very nicely into the style menu.
