Easier access mute/solo buttons directly on the score

While highlighting a region now solos the instruments in that region, I often have a particular configuration of instruments playing in unison that aren't listed consecutively on the score. This means that if I want to hear only those parts, I either have to create a part that contains only those instruments or use the Solo/Mute buttons in the Mixer. I find it a bit tedious having to open up the massive Mixer on my laptop screen to mute/solo instruments, especially when I'm working on scores with many parts where I need to scroll left and right in the Mixer to find the right instrument.

I believe a fine solution would be to add "M" and "S" buttons, exactly as they appear in the mixer, somewhere near the instrument/part name directly on the score. Similarly to the button that shows up on Staff Text while using MuseSounds, these buttons move with the score and sync with those found in the Mixer.

I don't know what would happen If multiple of the same part name were visible on the score at once. Maybe it's shown in duplicate? Maybe it doesn't appear until you hover over/near or click directly on the part name?

Hope this happens.

I think the last thing I would need is more buttons taking up space. I'm not sure how different your idea would be. I.E. scrolling up and down the score as opposed to scrolling in the mixer.

I think a better way would be the way Sibelius does it. CTRL select the measures if they are not consecutive.
