Memorial Day Song Ideas

Without getting into too much detail, I am looking to arrange some songs for a small marching band for the memorial day parade in my town. I'm having troubles choosing songs to arrange. I want songs that are going to be upbeat and fun to play, and that are recognizable to those in the crowd. On the other hand, being a memorial day parade I understand this might be a very sensitive time for some so I want to make sure we don't play anything offensive. The traditional songs are good but I'd like to play some songs that are a little more complex and entertaining.
