Did you follow these instructions?: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/install-chromebook
Btw.: The MuseScore application is free, there's no need (and won't be help) for a subscription.

I'm not familiar with a chromebook, but maybe see also here, you've to make the AppImage executable: https://musescore.org/de/faq#faq-296868

Did you watch the video? Also be sure that you're choosing the correct file name of the version from the AppImage you downloaded, when you make it executable via "chmod +x". And, as far I can see from this video, you've maybe also to install the additional stuff before you can run MuseScore (libvorbis).

So, with the AppImage, it's at time available from the download page, you've entered "chmod +x MuseScore-3.6.2.548021370-x86_64.AppImage" and run then the application itself with "./MuseScore-3.6.2.548021370-x86_64.AppImage"?

So what do I type in for the terminal and what if it doesn't work?

The instructions above explain everything step step by step, and it should work. If you have trouble, please list the exact step where something seems to go wrong, the specific that that happens to lead you to believe it didn't work.
But do note the warning at the top of the page - all of this assumes you have an Intel-compatible processor. Many Chromebooks use ARM processors. In that case, your options become a lot more limited.

I have it now! The only thing is it doesn't save my work.

Can you explain what you mean by that? What doesn't save your work? MuseScore itself? What specifically are you doing to save it, and what happens to make you believe your work isn't saved?
If you followed my steps, it should have set up your system so that Documents/MuseScore3 is a link to a corresponding MuseScore3 folder on your Google drive, and that is where your work gets saved. Do you see a save dialog appear when you press the save button? What folder does it say it is trying to save to? And what makes you think it is not saving to that location? Are you trying to view the file in another program, or open it a few minutes later from MuseScore? if the latter, what folder does it say it is trying to open from?

Does it mean, if you want to save a score via file->save as..., you don't get a permission? Maybe you've to select an appropriate directory, that allows it?
