Midi connection

My Casio CDP-235R has instructions for how to connect the digital piano to a computer, page EN-64.

My computer, MacBook running macOS10.10.5, is included in the list of "minimum computer system requirements."

I followed the instructions, but nothing happened.

What did I do wrong?

Depends, at which step of the prcoess did you expect to see/hear something happen, what exactly did you do at that step, and what happened instead of what you expected?
