Soundfonts not appearing in synthesizer

• Mar 11, 2021 - 19:46

I've been trying to use soundfonts and have been following the musescore guide for them. However, even though I'm putting the .sfz and similar files in the soundfonts folder under Documents > Musescore 3 > Soundfonts, nothing but the default soundfont appears in the synthesizer when I attempt to add a new one to my score. Is there any fix for this? I'm on a Mac and have tried putting in 2-3 different soundfont files so I don't think it's an issue with a specific one.

Make sure you are opening the synthesizer. Then the Zerberus tab. Then select the ADD button on the lower right. The select the font you want in the popup. Then LOAD. Then SET AS DEFAULT if that's what you want.If you have fonts loaded in the FLUID tab, they will also be mixed in with the nwe fonts.
