Using the spacers

Click a spacer, open Inspector you will see the measurement expressed in sp. (=1,75mm)

What acronym or nomeclature indicates the unit in sp? Does it work as a millimeter or inch for example?

The "sp" (spatium) is the distance between 2 stafflines within the staff; it's value is set in
Format → Page Settings → Scaling
