lost file
I closed musescore to plug in headphones ( I have to do that for the headphones to work). I assumed that the t files that were open were saved. When I reopened musescore the file name I was working on was available but it opens like an empty, brand new project. The name on the tab is the same as the last version that I was working on but it is blank. Can I find the lost document with the nine pages of work somewhere. I have an earlier version of the work but it is many hours behind what I lost. Thank you.

You were asked to save files when you closed MuseScore, yes?
Files are automatically saved every so often in a backup folder. But it is "hidden". Check the manual for how to recover them for your OS.
Assuming you did saved the file, it is still there in the same folder you saved it to, but unfortunately it's impossible for us to guess where that might be. What's the exact pathname of the folder you beleive you saved it to? Is that the same as the exact pathname of the file you actually opened? I wouldn't just rely on the "recent files" list - better to be sure you are going to the exact correct folder.
