Grand Staff notation question

I'm having some trouble whilst notating using a Grand Staff. In the bass clef, I'm trying to have a run of eight 8th notes, as well as a whole note in a measure. Please see attached pic.

At the start of the measure, there is an E Flat and a B flat. I would like the E flat to be a whole note and the rest of the notes 8th notes. Is there any way to do this in the same clef?
