not input

can I insert a 7th or 9th as one cord, or even just a triad as one chord by using letters and/or a certain sequence of keys , OR just without clicking them in separately
exp. ( ctrl +a c e) = a minor cord.

I know I can do this successfully while using my digital pianos as the note input. 

    I just wanna know if I can do this with just my computer.
