Musescore Audio Not connecting to an API at all?

Last night, I was trying to connect my old M-Audio Keystation 49e to musescore for note input. I was fiddling around with the settings to try and get it to work (I selected it in the "I/O" preferences, but it wasn't actually doing anything in musescore), and then after doing something (For the life of me I cannot remember what settings I changed) the playback changed from the standard musescore sounds to some really crappy midi sounds. I have no idea what those sounds were, but they were most definitely not the musescore sounds. I tried to reset all preferences to default, but now Musescore won't even connect to audio (see capture.png). Whenever I click on any of the options, nothing happens.

Not sure if this is a bug or just me doing something stupid, but any help is welcome! I can input notes just fine, but there's no sound or playback option whatsoever.
