Set default articulation for instrument
Is there any way to change default articulation for an instrument? I often feel that the playback articulates poorly. It seems that default note length is 95% of notated. It would be nice to be able to change that to 90% or something for certain instruments.
Also, can you change how different articulations change note lengths? For example, staccato is 50% of the note length, staccato-tenuto is 67%. Would it be possible to change these numbers?

This 95% is only for Piccolo, Flute and all Pianos. This, as well as Staccato etc is embedded into the instrument definitions in instruments.xml
So for now, the way to customize this would be to create your own custom instruments.xml file with just the particular instruments you want to modify, and add it as a second version in Edit / Preferences / Score. It's not trivial, but not impossible either. Hopefully a future version of MuseScore will have more direct controls for this sort of thing.
