Drumset pitch gets "deselected" when moving from one instrument to another

Create a symphonic orchestral score with the default set of unpitched percussion instruments.
Select the Snare Drum instrument, enter step mode, and choose the 2nd drumset pitch (B, shows as a regular round notehead on the top line of a staff).
Now click on the staff for another instrument that only has 1 drumset pitch (e.g. Bass Drum). Notice that no drumset pitch is selected and the name above Edit Drumset still says "Acoustic Snare". Try to enter notes - nothing happens.

Can't verify in MU4 currently due to other issues with current build.

BTW how do you change a staff from "percussion" style to normal/5-line staff style, and v/v?
(I can't figure out how to create percussion staves at all in MU4 currently)
