TAB Note editing
When I changed the tuning on the TAB Guitar part, I stopped being able to edit notes on the strings. I am still able to change the note with the number pads but it's very clunky and I still suspect something is wrong there when I try to do that. In the picture attached you can see that I am editing the note, but the note isn't highlighted how I would expect.

Please attach the actual score (mscz) instead of a picture and tell us step by step where we should click and what we should type to see the wrong behavior.
This is the file. It occurs in all of the TAB guitar measures, I can't normally edit any of them as far as I'm aware.

Well, how do you want it to work? In the main score, the guitar tuning is usual (default, except the D 6st string),
but you changed this tuning for a "total" open D, in the Part. Guaranteed failure! :(
So, you have to make a choice, and make it, first, in the main score, THEN create the part (anyway, it's always preferable/recommanded to create parts at the end of your work)
