How do you add guitar notations in Musescore?

Firstly, how do you add Let Ring onto guitar part? I did that once completely forgot how I got it...
If you need a sample, the file below is exactly what I am looking for. I tried copy and pasting the element onto a different project and it didn't work.

Secondly, how do you also go from palm mute back to normal? From the first file below, I managed to switch between distortion guitar and palm-muted guitar by using text "mute" and "distortion" but aside from distortion, is there another option maybe say switching to funk guitar or jazz guitar instead of distortion guitar?
