Tie Not Working Correctly

I'm trying to tie four whole notes together, and no matter what I do it always stops 3 measures in. I have left a picture below. I made sure I was using ties and not slurs, and I even tied my fourth note to a fifth note to see if that would help. What's going on? I can explain in more detail if needed.

Update: I immediately solved the problem after posting this. I just had to take out the marcattos, which makes more musical sense anyway.
